This post is a little bittersweet. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this blog and feel so blessed that you all take a look! Since relaunching my new website www.margotlandenweddings.com (take a glance!), I’ve noticed that it is a way better tool for me to share the latest and greatest work. So, I am stepping back…not for long though! I feel there is many more adventures to be had and I have every intention of sharing them. I love you all.

I am in LOVE with Martha and Bill. I felt that immediate spark with these two! They are as genuine as they come. What I love the most, is that they are always laughing! Not a second passes when I don’t hear their contagious laughter. Their connection is so pure and it made my job super easy. I hope you enjoy these favorites! Congrats you two!

I couldn’t be happier to introduce Kailey and Tyler! In-between traveling from Austin, New Orleans, and Denver, I stopped in Gainesville, Fl. to meet these darlings. The first time I met them was on the wedding day. I just love when that happens. I never know what to expect, and I am never disappointed. I was greeted with a hug and open arms from everyone. Their wedding was intimate and personal. The day was complete with candlelight dinner, sweet slow dances, and cake in the face! I just love these people.

Alison and Blake are what you call “timeless”. Their relationship dates back to high school days. You get an immediate sense of closeness and comfort with them. Yet, they can still make each other laugh and light up when one enters the room. I’ve known Alison for quite some time. It was a total THRILL seeing her again and being a part of their day. Honestly, I wish I could live it over and over again. Even though it was an ice cold day in Austin at The Hummingbird House, it felt warm and exhilarating! Gosh I love these two. Enjoy some of my favorites…

Huge big thanks to Gypsy Floral, The Peached Tortilla, and Shiny Ribs for rocking the house!

What a year! I was sifting through my archives and “reflecting” on the past 12 months. Needless to say, I feel like one fortunate gal! I’ve crossed paths with some incredible people from all over. They are the root of inspiration for me and I am so grateful for that. I’m ready for the next adventure. Bring it on 2014! Next up, weddings in LA, New York and France. Stay tuned! There is plenty more to see and I am thankful for you all.

Happy Holidays!

Natalija and Yusef were married in Ft. Worth at the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House. It was perfect. The weather was amazing and the mood was warm. It was one of the most heart-felt ceremonies I have ever witnessed. I am so proud to share these images with you all! These people mean so much to me. Being able to photograph for them was an absolute blessing.

I first met Yusef back in my post-production days. We both worked at 501 Post in Austin. I immediately recognized him as a close friend. He is such a talent too! When I met Natalija and heard their story, I was reminded again that all great things are worth waiting for. They have such a strong foundation and I couldn’t be happier for them. Enjoy some of these favorites from their special day.

Happy Holidays folk!

Katie and I went to the Savannah College of Art and Design together. What I remember about her still remains to be true. She is the FUNNIEST person ever! Naturally, I knew shooting her wedding would be a total laughfest. It was (it also had a few tears). Even though I didn’t know John very well, I could see how strong their connection was. It was so inspiring to witness. I was very fortunate to see many other SCAD faces. It was a sweet trip down memory lane. Katie and John, thank you for reminding me why I love what I do.

Special thanks to Hilton Head’s finest, A Floral Affair. Your flowers were so beautiful to photograph!

I’ve known Kolette for 10 years. You know when you haven’t seen a friend for a while…and you reconnect…it is like time never passed? Well, it was exactly like that! Her laugh is still so very contagious. Her smile lights up a room and everyone around her.

Nathaniel. is. exactly. the. same. These two are a match! Their connection is undeniable. I felt so very blessed being their photographer. I hope you enjoy these teasers. Congratulations you crazy kids! I am so happy for you both. Love ya!

a sweet note from the happy couple, feeling blessed: “…they are AMAZING! Thank you so much! Seriously, you have ruined any chance of me getting work done the rest of the day. They are just terrific. You are a photography genius.”

Maine is gorgeous. This was my second time shooting in Maine. We were in Biddeford Pool to be exact. This place is a dream land. I can’t really describe the charm. It is BEYOND words. It is also the only place I could imagine Abby and Henry tying the knot (which I am sure was navy and ivory striped and totally cute). I love these people! I met Abby in college. Savannah College of Art and Design! I immediately fell in love with her energy. Naturally I expected Henry would have the same qualities. He did. Abby and Henry, I adore you!

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Mary and Jeff’s wedding in San Francisco. From the moment I landed, I fell completely in love with California all over again. Stepping into 65 degrees of freshness was quite nice, I can’t lie. I LOVE SF! The city is so alive. It felt amazing walking down Broadway (more like taking a nose dive) and feeling the mist in the air. It is the perfect city to photograph, and Mary and Jeff were the perfect couple. I hope you enjoy these teasers!
