Consider this my love note to Colorado. It is difficult to express how incredibly thankful I am for this place. I can only hope the photos show just how exciting it is! We (Dustin and I) took a quick day adventure to the Red Rock Amphitheater. Wowza! The red peaking through the snow was so incredibly beautiful. The air was so crisp. I just wanted to make snow angels and sip hot chocolate all day long.

What a year! I was sifting through my archives and “reflecting” on the past 12 months. Needless to say, I feel like one fortunate gal! I’ve crossed paths with some incredible people from all over. They are the root of inspiration for me and I am so grateful for that. I’m ready for the next adventure. Bring it on 2014! Next up, weddings in LA, New York and France. Stay tuned! There is plenty more to see and I am thankful for you all.

Happy Holidays!

Katie and I went to the Savannah College of Art and Design together. What I remember about her still remains to be true. She is the FUNNIEST person ever! Naturally, I knew shooting her wedding would be a total laughfest. It was (it also had a few tears). Even though I didn’t know John very well, I could see how strong their connection was. It was so inspiring to witness. I was very fortunate to see many other SCAD faces. It was a sweet trip down memory lane. Katie and John, thank you for reminding me why I love what I do.

Special thanks to Hilton Head’s finest, A Floral Affair. Your flowers were so beautiful to photograph!

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Mary and Jeff’s wedding in San Francisco. From the moment I landed, I fell completely in love with California all over again. Stepping into 65 degrees of freshness was quite nice, I can’t lie. I LOVE SF! The city is so alive. It felt amazing walking down Broadway (more like taking a nose dive) and feeling the mist in the air. It is the perfect city to photograph, and Mary and Jeff were the perfect couple. I hope you enjoy these teasers!

Oh Martha’s Vineyard. This was a first for me. I certainly hope it will not be the last. It is pretty difficult to describe how wonderful this place is. My camera was going nuts! Every square inch of this island is a bouquet of charm. I couldn’t wait to wake in the morning and have my coffee and bagel on the dock. Not to mention, the people are simply spectacular.

This wedding in particular was special to me. I have known Eben for years now. He is a dear friend and I wouldn’t expect any less from his gorgeous fiance. Hannah and Eben truly have it all. I consider myself a huge fan and put this special day as one of the greatest so far. I mean…lobster and bagpipers are a recipe for success. Come on!

Oh and yes, I will be going back. It is my mission to live there. Done and done.

Enjoy the teasers!

2013! What a year everyone! This has been the best year of weddings (thus far). I’ve been to Massachusetts twice, New Orleans, Austin, Dallas, San Francisco, and beyond. It has been super busy and I am so very thankful for all of it. I’ve had a little bit of time to reflect and I can safely say that I LOVE Massachusetts. Every corner of this state is photogenic. This darling couple is no exception. Meet Emily and Jacob. Emily is a strong singer and Jacob has an eye for composition. I felt fortunate to be in good company. Enjoy some favorites from their charming wedding in Mass. Thanks to the great staff at The Barn on Gibbet Hill.

A little testimony I feel honored to share:

” From the beginning Margot was personable and charming. We instantly felt a connection with her. During our wedding she was engaged and excited and fed off all the energy of the day. We are thrilled with our photos and feel that Margot has truly captured the raw emotions and truth of each and every second of our wedding. We thank you deeply for making this a wonderful experience for all of us.”  – Emily and Jacob
