This post is a little bittersweet. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this blog and feel so blessed that you all take a look! Since relaunching my new website www.margotlandenweddings.com (take a glance!), I’ve noticed that it is a way better tool for me to share the latest and greatest work. So, I am stepping back…not for long though! I feel there is many more adventures to be had and I have every intention of sharing them. I love you all.

Ah yes, Mother’s day. Dustin and I flew to New Orleans to surprise my mom. What a treat it was. I realize this post may be a tad late, but I simply had to share some of these pictures with you all. My family came over for a little brunch. It was simply wonderful.

My mother, is the strongest and most loving person I know. Thank you Mom for being my rock. You inspire me in more ways than you know.

Whew! WPPI was absolutely beyond words. Hmmm…how can I describe it? Imagine riding a roller coaster through the swiss alps, times square, or even the Champs Elysees in Paris. There was so much to see and it all moved very fast! This is all positive by the way. Now that spring is upon us, I am getting the “let’s shake it up” vibe. There will be many new and exciting things to come folks! I am giving the website a facelift and adopting a new workflow.

I was fortunate to meet many artists and was very inspired by them. It was great to reconnect with the Edmonsons. I’ve known them for several years! They are still kicking it! I was also pleased to see Ryan SchembriRocco AncoraKenny KimJonas Peterson, and Jerry Ghionis. Of course I am SO happy to see my lovely, charming, and talented Christine Chang. I love this girl!

Some of the images below are from a class with Ryan Schembri. Check out that Ice Light. Pretty neat eh?

I am in LOVE with Martha and Bill. I felt that immediate spark with these two! They are as genuine as they come. What I love the most, is that they are always laughing! Not a second passes when I don’t hear their contagious laughter. Their connection is so pure and it made my job super easy. I hope you enjoy these favorites! Congrats you two!

Consider this my love note to Colorado. It is difficult to express how incredibly thankful I am for this place. I can only hope the photos show just how exciting it is! We (Dustin and I) took a quick day adventure to the Red Rock Amphitheater. Wowza! The red peaking through the snow was so incredibly beautiful. The air was so crisp. I just wanted to make snow angels and sip hot chocolate all day long.

I couldn’t be happier to introduce Kailey and Tyler! In-between traveling from Austin, New Orleans, and Denver, I stopped in Gainesville, Fl. to meet these darlings. The first time I met them was on the wedding day. I just love when that happens. I never know what to expect, and I am never disappointed. I was greeted with a hug and open arms from everyone. Their wedding was intimate and personal. The day was complete with candlelight dinner, sweet slow dances, and cake in the face! I just love these people.

Alison and Blake are what you call “timeless”. Their relationship dates back to high school days. You get an immediate sense of closeness and comfort with them. Yet, they can still make each other laugh and light up when one enters the room. I’ve known Alison for quite some time. It was a total THRILL seeing her again and being a part of their day. Honestly, I wish I could live it over and over again. Even though it was an ice cold day in Austin at The Hummingbird House, it felt warm and exhilarating! Gosh I love these two. Enjoy some of my favorites…

Huge big thanks to Gypsy Floral, The Peached Tortilla, and Shiny Ribs for rocking the house!

What a year! I was sifting through my archives and “reflecting” on the past 12 months. Needless to say, I feel like one fortunate gal! I’ve crossed paths with some incredible people from all over. They are the root of inspiration for me and I am so grateful for that. I’m ready for the next adventure. Bring it on 2014! Next up, weddings in LA, New York and France. Stay tuned! There is plenty more to see and I am thankful for you all.

Happy Holidays!

Natalija and Yusef were married in Ft. Worth at the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House. It was perfect. The weather was amazing and the mood was warm. It was one of the most heart-felt ceremonies I have ever witnessed. I am so proud to share these images with you all! These people mean so much to me. Being able to photograph for them was an absolute blessing.

I first met Yusef back in my post-production days. We both worked at 501 Post in Austin. I immediately recognized him as a close friend. He is such a talent too! When I met Natalija and heard their story, I was reminded again that all great things are worth waiting for. They have such a strong foundation and I couldn’t be happier for them. Enjoy some of these favorites from their special day.

Happy Holidays folk!
